Diagnosed 2016 with Invasive lobular carcinoma. I had 4 lumpectomies, the 4th said clear margins. I insisted on double mastectomy (not standard in UK) as I wanted to limit future surgeries and also have symmetry. My confidence at that time was an all time low.

I didn’t like the idea of nipple tattoos, as they don’t feel like real breasts. So I decided to have artwork to celebrate my new body.

A new phase in my life. I had a 100% confidence increase having such a beautiful tattoo.

Advice for newcomers: Take it a day at a time, and take time, for you.
