About Me

Hello, I’m so glad you found this page.

I have a passion to make the breast cancer experience better for others.  It would not be possible without the courageous people that have allowed me to use their images and stories.   Thank you.

I was 36 years old when I found a lump while doing a self breast exam. I was advised to get a double mastectomy and diagnosed with BRCA2 gene mutation and Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. I searched desperately for a website that had many images of people that had been through mastectomy surgery, including a bit of education to go with them.  I came up short.   When my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer a year later, she also tirelessly searched for surgical result photos. Since the website didn’t exist, I created it.

My two kitties and I live in a small home in Portland, Oregon, USA. I’m a fierce believer in advocating for what is right, even if it makes me uncomfortable.

I want you to know that you will always be beautiful. I’m so glad you’re on this Earth.
