Fibrocystic Breast Disease – Direct to implant, prophylactic 6.3 – Empowered Mastectomy
At the age of 21, I found my first tumor. It was the size of a golf ball and was benign! The second tumor I found 6 months later in the other breast. At 21 I was diagnosed with Fibrocystic Breast Disease. A gene mutation hasn’t been found, but my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 38 and now has been in remission for 10 years. My Grandmother passed away at the age of 31 from breast cancer.
On February 11, 2021 I had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy with tissue expanders placed.
My exchange surgery was June 3, 2021 to silicone implants.
